Disney Cruise Line Online check-in
Here’s a list of everything you’ll need to gather for online check-in:
Your reservation number
A clear photo or scan of each passenger’s passport (to use passports, they need to remain valid for at least 6 months after debarkation date.) Make sure all four corners are visible in the photo or scan. Since the four corners need to be visible, a photo of the document is really better than a scan.
If you don’t have passports (acceptable for cruises that both start and end in the United States even if there are ports in other countries), you will need a clear photo or scan of each person’s original state issued birth certificate plus government issued photo IDs for adults. Make sure all four corners of the document or ID are visible in the photo or scan. If using this option, you may also need to provide a marriage license/adoption decree/name change decree/etc if anyone’s photo ID last name does not match their Birth Certificate last name. This is not needed during online check-in but it’s possible to be needed after your submissions are reviewed and/or at your actual port arrival.
A security photo of each person in your party. This is a clear photo from the shoulders up with a plain background. No glasses, no hat, no hair in the face. You can snap it with your phone but basically try to follow the rules of a passport style photo. This photo will be used as identification for each person’s “Key to the World” card. Pro tip- a high resolution photo takes a long time to load on the website and can significantly slow down your online check-in process. I recommend taking a screenshot of the actual photo and uploading the screenshot because it’s a smaller file and is less likely to give you a 30 minute spinning wheel of doom.
Flight information (all flights including connections, flight numbers, times, airports, etc)
Pre and post cruise hotel information.
A credit card to keep on file for onboard purchases. You can also select that you’ll be paying in cash. If using this option, please see “tips and tricks” for more info on how that works.
Name and phone number of an emergency contact not traveling with you.
As always, if you have any questions about anything, let me know!
